Meeting Minutes November 10, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Dan Boone at 6:09 P.M. and was held at Café 27 in Leesburg.

We did not have any guests tonight.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Webmaster – Lee DiDomenico was not present

Car Show Coordinator- Conrad Krzyzanowski Conrad told us about several car shows coming up in the near future. They will be disturbed via e mail from Jim Castin .

Treasurers Report-  Treasurer's report was given

Silver Springs- Ernie Worley Ernie reported that only 3 cars from our club attended the Silver Springs event. He says there were approximately 200 cars there. It turned out to be a half day event.

Safety- John Whiteside John did not have a report for us.

Christmas Party- Deb Boone, Our Club Christmas Party will be Dec. 8, 2009 and will be held at the Midtown Grille in downtown Leesburg. It was formerly the Char House. It is located off of Main Street and 5th Avenue. There will be a choice of 4-5 entrees to choose from. You will be responsible for your dinner and drinks. The club is planning on providing live music for us to dance to after dinner. A signup sheet was passed and it looks like we will have a good crowd. Cocktails will be at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30. Please wear your Christmas Best. If you missed the meeting and would like to attend, please contact Dan or Deb.

Introductions of members- Pat and Betty McDonald gave us a brief glimpse of how they met, where they lived, occupations and how their love of Corvettes. It was all very interesting. Next month (January) we will meet Russ and Monica Mello.

OLD BUSINESS:

There was none to discuss.

NEW BUSINESS:

We will continue to hold our general Club Meetings at the Crown and Shield for the 2010 term.

Christmas Parade- We are planning to participating in the Leesburg Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 P.M. There is a $35.00 fee to register and they would like us to decorate our cars. Most of the members said they were not crazy about the decorating part. Motion was made to participate and it passed. We will be there. There will be more details coming. If you did not attend the meeting and would like to be in the parade, please contact Dave Race or Dan Boone.

Christmas Donations- We had discussed donating money to the Leesburg Food Bank. Pat McDonald made a motion to donate $200.00 and it was second by John Whiteside. Jim Farrell made a motion to select two angels from our Christmas Angel Tree and spend $100.00 total. It was second by Gary Leader.

NOMINATIONS:

The Board had selected the nominations and there were no new nominations from the floor. The winners are as follows:

Car Shows: Conrad Krzyzanowski

Safety: John Whiteside

Congratulations to all who won the election. We will all look forward to another year of interesting cruises and events.

Our next board meeting will be Nov. 19, 2009 (due to Thanksgiving) at J D Boondocks at 6:30 P.M.
